OME REALLY GOOD NEWS FOR PRE-TRIB BELIEVERS:
I have some really good news from a deeper look at scripture for those who want more evidence about rapture being a pre-tribulation event. Let’s first take a look at this important scripture in Luke:
Luke 17:27-30: And as it was in the days of Noe, so shall it be also in the days of the Son of man. (THE TIMING OF THE RAPTURE) They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. (GOD LIKENS RAPTURE TO THE DAYS OF NOAH) Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; (AGAIN, WE SEE REFERENCE TO THE TIME OF LOT ALSO LIKE RAPTURE AS A PRE-TRIB EVENT) But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, (AND CLEARLY WE SEE LOT OUT OF SODOM BEFORE GOD BROUGHT DOWN FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, IN REFERENCE TO SUDDEN DESTRUCTION AND TRIBULATION AFTER THE CHURCH IS RAPTURED) and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. (AND HERE IS THE CLEAR-CUT STATEMENT THAT TELLS US IT WILL BE LIKE THE RAPTURE WHEN THE SON OF MAN IS REVEALED).
Next we will go to Genesis and see more details:
Genesis 19:15-16: And when the morning arose, then the angels hastened Lot, saying, Arise, take thy wife, and thy two daughters, which are here; lest thou be consumed in the iniquity of the city. And while he lingered, the men laid hold upon his hand, and upon the hand of his wife, and upon the hand of his two daughters; the LORD being merciful unto him: and they brought him forth, and set him without the city. (THIS IS THE SCRIPTURE THAT SHOWS US ANGELS SENT BY GOD CAME TO RESCUE LOT FROM DESTRUCTION).
Now we will look deeper into this section to find proof that rapture or removal of the church is a pre-tribulation event:
Genesis 19:17-19: And it came to pass, when they had brought them forth abroad, that he said, Escape for thy life; look not behind thee, neither stay thou in all the plain; escape to the mountain, lest thou be consumed. And Lot said unto them, Oh, not so, my Lord: Behold now, thy servant hath found grace in thy sight, and thou hast magnified thy mercy, which thou hast shewed unto me in saving my life; and I cannot escape to the mountain, lest some evil take me, and I die: (NOW IT’S CLEAR THAT LOT MAKES A PRE-TRIBULATION ESCAPE BUT HE IS CONCERNED ABOUT WHERE HE WILL ESCAPE TO AND PLEADS TO THE ANGELS WHO ARE HELPING HIM ESCAPE).
This is where it gets interesting:
Genesis 19:20-26: Behold now, this city is near to flee unto, and it is a little one: Oh, let me escape thither, (is it not a little one?) and my soul shall live. And he said unto him, See, I have accepted thee concerning this thing also, that I will not overthrow this city, for the which thou hast spoken. (NOT ONLY DOES LOT ESCAPE DESTRUCTION SO DOES THE ENTIRE TOWN HE ESCAPES TO).
Here is the powerful evidence of pre-tribulation rapture:
Haste thee, escape thither; (SO LOT IS BEING TOLD HE CAN ESCAPE DESTRUCTION TO THE LAND HE CHOSE) for I cannot do anything till thou be come thither. (HERE IS THE POWER PHRASE THAT SHOWS US RAPTURE AS PRE-TRIBULATION—GOD IS NOT GOING TO DO ANYTHING TO SODOM AND GOMORRAH UNTIL LOT ESCAPES TO THE LAND HE REQUESTED TO GO TO)
Next we see Lot escape to the city Zoar that was spared from destruction situated in between the four cities on the plain that were destroyed, including Sodom and Gomorrah, but not Zoar:
Therefore the name of the city was called Zoar. The sun was risen upon the earth when Lot entered into Zoar. Then the LORD rained upon Sodom and upon Gomorrah brimstone and fire from the LORD out of heaven; And he overthrew those cities, and all the plain, and all the inhabitants of the cities, and that which grew upon the ground. But his wife looked back from behind him, and she became a pillar of salt. (WE SEE GOD RAINING DOWN FIRE AND BRIMSTONE ON SODOM AND GOMORRAH, AND LOT’S WIFE LOOKING BACK REPRESENTING THE LUKEWARM CHURCH).
In conclusion, it is clear GOD likens the revealing of the Son of Man who is CHRIST to rescue HIS church LIKE LOT WAS RESCUED and scripture makes it clear Sodom and Gomorrah (a form and type of sudden destruction and tribulation) cannot take place until “the Bride of CHRIST be come thither to the New Jerusalem,” her destination after escape from tribulation. It doesn’t get clearer than this….
