People who mock the pre-trib rapture just don’t get the significance of GOD’s amazing plan. You see, HE set it up for people to watch for HIS return, and to be ready for it. But NOT just for rapture but for ANY possible reason that someone might be found suddenly before the LORD giving an account of their life. Today, sadly, it is a good possibility that someone might be caught off guard and facing GOD through untimely, unexpected death. We hear about it daily, people dying “suddenly” without warning in car accidents, heart attacks, shootings, weather disasters and a whole myriad of accidental deaths. But there are those who insist on promoting that the rapture is either way off into the distant future, or that there have to be a million things happen first before rapture. The rapture is a sign-less event and in fact, is itself a sign of the second coming and the church must first go up to be with the LORD in order to come back with HIM in the second coming.
What happens when you have a church full of people who have no urgency in their hearts for an imminent rapture event? You have a bunch of people who have no urgency for being ready for anything so that they focus on the world instead. Without that motive to be ready for a pre-trib rapture any other viewpoint rules out the importance of being ready at all times. Believing an alternative to pre-trib rapture has created a huge church of fence-sitters, the dedicated church of Lot’s wife, focused on religion but not on the GOD of it all.
The LORD has never at any point suggested to anyone in ANY teaching that we should relax, kick-back, and that we have years and years to focus on this world. That is the doctrine of devils who are grooming an army of left-behind believers. For all those who believe they are heading for tribulation because there is NO rapture or Pre-tribulation rapture you are sending out the message to others that there is no need to be ready in this life for anything. Why is a crown of righteousness given to those who love the LORD’s appearing in 2 Timothy 4:8 exactly? It’s because people who are looking forward to and are LOVING THE APPEARING of CHRIST would be preparing their garments in righteousness. If you thought you would be about to meet your MAKER, you would get ready for that meeting. If you think you have years and years before that event there is no motive to be ready–hence there will be no crown of righteousness, and I don’t think that’s the way it works at all. GOD wants people off the fence, set apart from the world, and focusing on HIM FROM THIS DAY FORWARD. Any suggestion that there is time to “not” love HIS appearing, quite frankly, is evil….
2 Timothy 4:8: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
