If there was ever anything that separated the Followers of CHRIST from the Followers of evil, it has to be that Christians are mandated by GOD to “love your enemies.” JESUS does not call for us to plot revenge and destroy, the way other religions do. Christianity is not a belief system that focuses on casting spells or curses on other people or speaking death over them.
CHRIST calls for HIS followers to love your enemies. It is what separates the men from the boys spiritually, so to speak, and the true believer from the secular and even the lukewarm church. How so? You may ask? The key to this question is what separates both the lukewarm and secular from the HOLY SPIRIT-filled believer. When the individual finally surrenders their ALL to the FATHER by repenting of past sin and acknowledging the price JESUS paid on the cross, then the HOLY SPIRIT comes into the person to fill them and take up permanent residence within them. When this happens, the individual comes into the understanding that those who are outside of this sacred surrender of the entire self to GOD, are still being run by the demonic. This is revealed by GOD through HIS Word, the Bible. When you come to see that the worldly are run by the demonic, it’s far easier to love and have compassion for even your worst enemy. Because you see through the Eyes of GOD that people, apart from GOD, even the most evil, are as much victims themselves of Satan as the people they persecute and hurt.
The lukewarm church and secular struggles to understand this concept, because they, themselves are controlled by the demonic, through all kinds of evil spirits. The lukewarm church is run by religious spirits and the same spirits of the secular, unreligious, so it’s impossible to have the kind of compassion that comes through the fullness of the HOLY SPIRIT because Satan is in control.
Surrendering your ALL like a child to GOD is vital to grasping the concept of truly loving your enemy. Without the perspective of GOD which comes through that surrender, then being able to love your enemy is a concept that will be unreachable. Without GOD’s forgiveness we are all evil and abominable to a HOLY GOD. Because GOD is so pure and holy, our flesh is as wicked as the next guy. Repent and surrender your ALL to the LORD today, like a little child and you will be able to love your enemies and pray for them and even desire for their salvation.
