Deeper Meaning of the Bible…we see Bible characters who represent JESUS including Boaz and Solomon, but another famous character is Joseph in Genesis. I just want to touch on a few of the parallels of CHRIST in this famous Bible Story. We see CHRIST in Joseph when his brothers reject him as the parallel to JESUS. Then we see Joseph rise to second in command under Pharaoh and this is a picture of JESUS and GOD the FATHER. Now we even see Joseph marry a non-Israelite gentile bride who is the daughter of Pharaoh, and this is the same for JESUS WHO marries a gentile bride the church. We then see the brothers of Joseph forced to seek him ultimately for help because they are desperate and again this is a picture of Israel turning back to JESUS. In the famous scene when Joseph reveals himself to his brothers who realize that he is both the one in charge and they also had thrown him into a pit rejecting him. Again, JESUS is in this story. And then Joseph explains that what they did for evil, GOD meant for good…and we see JESUS in this picture that what was meant for evil, HIS crucifixion ultimately GOD meant for the greater good for all mankind. And the part in which Joseph excuses the Egyptians out of the room, before he goes to deal with his brothers, well that is the rapture of the church before JESUS deals with Israel…
