If you have just become a new Christian and have gotten into a church routine there are some things you should know about your new connection to GOD. When you surrender EVERYTHING over to the LORD and make a FULL COMMITMENT, REMORSEFUL OVER PAST SIN, choosing TO BE IN THE WILL OF GOD by the SALVATION OF JESUS CHRIST and FILLED WITH THE HOLY SPIRIT—YOUR WORLD WILL BE TURNED UPSIDE DOWN…Your old friends will suddenly want to distance themselves from you….it’s a battle in the invisible realm—your HOLY SPIRIT no longer meshes with their spirits…You’re going to lose friends and family that just can’t tolerate your new-found faith. If you really have the FIRE of the HOLY SPIRIT, even other church members will distance themselves from you—because they are lukewarm and don’t really want anything more serious with GOD then their weak form of godliness—BECAUSE they deny the power thereof WHO is the HOLY SPIRIT. Things you used to embrace will no longer pull you in—like MOST secular movies, TV, music, activities…You no longer fit in and you don’t really want to. Despite ALL THE REJECTION around you from friends and family, co-workers, and a bland taste for all the stuff going on around you—you are experiencing a peace, comfort, love that you have NEVER felt even with EVERYTHING you have walked away from…In fact you’re freak to the world—a JESUS FREAK…and it’s the best rejection you’ve ever experienced….So you just can’t help pleading to GOD for your friends and family that they would too come out of the spiritual blindness they’ve been in…
The following are scripture passages telling the Christians to be “watchful”–Now there are people coming out saying that you don’t need to watch for the LORD because HIS coming is postponed–how do you “watch” like the Bible tells us to for something that is delayed? If anyone says that the LORD’s return is not imminent—to not be on guard, watching is the mandate of GOD. Is GOD trying to confuse you? No people die and face GOD all the time. Matthew 24:42 (KJV): Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.
Matthew 24:43 (KJV): But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up.
Matthew 25:13 (KJV): Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.
