Matthew 7:21-23 (KJV): 21 NOT EVERYONE that saith unto ME, LORD, LORD, shall enter into the kingdom of Heaven; but he that doeth the Will of MY FATHER which is in Heaven. 22 MANY will say to ME in that day, LORD, LORD, have we not prophesied in THY Name? And in THY Name have cast out devils? And in THY Name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I NEVER KNEW YOU: DEPART FROM ME, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY.
Now this scripture was at one time DEEPLY TROUBLING to me–and so I wanted to know what this meant it troubled me so much–so I asked the LORD to show me–and HE did. HE showed me that that CHRIST is talking to the church here and not even the secular sinners…how do I know because GOD showed me that you can’t cast out devils in CHRIST’s Name OR work wonders in CHRIST’s Name AND you definitely cannot prophesy in CHRIST’S Name without the HOLY SPIRIT (and this is the partially filled oil lamp virgins who have a measure of oil but not a full lamp)–AND YET–these Christians who performed these amazing miracles WERE STILL TOLD TO DEPART FROM CHRIST–OUCH! They were even called workers of iniquity–DOUBLE OUCH!–so what gives? Who in the world can make the cut? Then the LORD took me by the hand and had me do a study on the word “KNEW” in this passage because JESUS says “I NEVER KNEW YOU.” So looking at the Biblical meanings of the word KNOW–we can see that the Bible says Adam KNEW Eve–and then when the Angel of the LORD tells Mary she will give birth to the MESSIAH–she declares that she has never KNOWN a man–And the Bible says that after Judah was involved with his daughter in law–the Bible says he never KNEW her again–so this word actually implies INTIMACY–and so JESUS is saying to these lukewarm church members who were casting out devils; prophesying and working wonders in HIS Name, I NEVER KNEW YOU–WE WERE NOT CLOSE FRIENDS–YOU WERE NOT CLOSE TO ME–WE BARELY SPOKE–YOU NEVER CAME TO THE SECRET PLACE–YOU NEVER TOOK MY CALLS, and so then they will be told to depart or spit out and they will be rejected despite all of their church activities–their charitable work–their huge donations–it won’t matter because they never knew their LORD….And like CHRIST WHO was surrendered to the Will of HIS FATHER without that surrender (AND A FULL OIL LAMP–FULL SURRENDER) you will be considered a worker of iniquity operating in your own will doing what looks “good” but not in GOD’s Will and so considered evil…having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof….
