COUNTING THE COST

Something you are likely not going to hear in your lukewarm churches that only talk about things people like to hear is what will happen to those who surrender to JESUS, but also telling others about that decision. The Bible makes it clear, yet very few churches tell it straight or do even Christians talk about the reality, that you will not even just be indifferent to others, you will actually be hated. Hate is a strong word, yet JESUS makes it clear, you will be judged worthy of hatred by others and that is the same as being murdered by the person in their heart. JESUS says HE was hated and you will be too. This is where you have to count the cost and even carry a cross according to scripture. If you remain lukewarm, you may dodge the bullet and operate from the position of neutral, getting along with everyone and not rocking the boat. But if you go on record as a “boat rocker” you will actually be hated. More than mocked, persecuted, disliked, rejected, discounted, you will actually be hated. That is literally how powerful the message is that you carry. The enemy hates you–get used to it. You have the power within you to change lives, that is the HOLY SPIRIT WHO uses you to carry out HIS work to reach others for CHRIST, to draw them in through the words of your mouth, the life you lead, the testimonies you give, and the love you bring to the lost world. If you take the message of the importance of a changed life through a relationship with JESUS CHRIST, and suppress it because you can’t handle the heat, the heat will come, but it may be too late for you when it comes. JESUS says HE will spit those out of HIS mouth for being lukewarm. So you can either stand in the fire now and share the truth, or you will stand in the fire of eternal loss when you face the LORD and HE refuses to acknowledge you before HIS FATHER and HIS angels. Being right with GOD is a far greater place to be then feeling safe with the enemy, who comes to kill, steal, and destroy. If you are hated by many, count it all as joy.

John 15:18

If the world hates you, understand that it hated Me first.

John 17:14

I have given them Your word and the world has hated them; for they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world

Mark 13:13

And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake: but he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.

1 John 3:15

Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer: and ye know that no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.
