CAUSING OTHERS TO MOVE TO THE BACK OF THEIR SPIRITUAL CHAIRS….
I literally cringe when I hear Christians speculating that the LORD may not come in the rapture for a period of time into the future, be it this year, five years, etc. Even well-meaning people who say they think HE will come in the next few years…. WHY?
Because we are to watch, and there are multiple scriptures that COMMAND for us to watch.
Now as a Christian, we are obligated to warn others and if we take a stance that is wimpy and lacks urgency, then others take the lead from us. Why is urgency significantly important? Because really the Bible says NO MAN knows the day or hour AND people tend to be procrastinators, and given an inch they will take a mile. If you intimate to others that you think GOD could come within five years or not for ten years, then you are essentially indicating for that person to shift their watching position to the back of the seat. Instead, you should be inspiring them to MOVE TO THE EDGE OF THEIR SEAT. WHY? Because people need to get ready for ANY UNEXPECTED EVENT THAT WOULD CAUSE THEM TO STAND BEFORE THE LORD EVEN TOMORROW. AND guess what? You don’t know who those people are.
If you are one of those Christians who is not promoting urgency of the LORD’s return with your language to others–do you understand that if you send someone else to the back of their spiritual seat, instead of to the edge of their spiritual seat, they will lack urgency in their spirit to be prepared. Not only that, but they will fill that vacancy with something else and it will be the world, and they will be looking back like Lot’s wife which is very dangerous.
So, watch your speech with fellow Christians because you really don’t know when JESUS will return for HIS church OR even that individual and YOU should not cause others to stumble in their walk.
