Luke 17:32 (KJV): Remember Lot’s wife.
John 19:26 (KJV): When JESUS therefore saw HIS mother, and the disciple standing by, whom HE loved, HE saith unto HIS mother, Woman, behold thy son!
We see two scriptures in the Bible here in Luke and John. Why am I talking about these scriptures? The question here is who is holy? Are you part of the lukewarm church–you know the one that Luke 17:32 fits…always like Lot’s wife looking back to the world…. OR are you like the Disciple John who was standing at the cross even when all the other disciples hid themselves away? John was dedicated to the LORD in an uncommon way–he did not care that his life might be in jeopardy because he was a follower of JESUS–he was going to stay by his LORD NO MATTER WHAT… So you are either like Lot’s wife or you are like John… You are either running from GOD to the world–or you are running from the world to GOD….So we have two categories–the lukewarm church represented by Lot’s wife and John representing the bride of CHRIST. Lot’s wife is looking back at the world, so she does not get grace because her outcome of JESUS spitting her out of HIS mouth is not good and that is not grace….John on the other hand receives grace with GOD and is given five books in the Bible even. So those who pursue holiness are considered holy to GOD and those who chase after the world are not. Because the LORD revealed to me that those who choose HIM choose perfectly and those who choose for the world, even if they call themselves a Christian choose imperfectly….Holiness is about your choices. Are you choosing for GOD with the decisions you make when it comes to what movies to watch, what words you use, what thoughts you have or are you choosing for the world? READ MATTHEW 7:21-23.
