I WANT TO TALK ABOUT JUST EXACTLY WHY NOTHING BUT A PRE-TRIB RAPTURE IS VALID…..
THERE IS ONE SPECIFIC thing that the PRE-TRIB RAPTURE doctrine has that Mid-trib and Post-trib doctrines lack: URGENCY..
URGENCY blows every other explanation of rapture timing completely off the map and out of the water–WHY??????????????
BECAUSE–DUH, DUH, DUH (long pause)…. The LORD over and over (and over) commands us to WATCH for HIS return meaning you need to watch with URGENCY OF HEART……………EXPECTING THE RAPTURE AT ANY MOMENT.
and GOD set it up this way–WHY???????????????????
BECAUSE people everywhere need to be watching and READY at all times expecting the LORD’s return at any moment which means you have to be ready to go at any given moment causing the person to also be ready FOR ANY UNEXPECTED LIFE EVENT that would cause someone to stand before the LORD TO GIVE AN ACCOUNT OF THEIR LIFE (regardless of how you get there).
Mid-Trib or Post-Trib DOES NOT LEND ITSELF TO URGENCY, WATCHING, BEING READY, and consequently the alternative to all of these is pushing back in your chair–what would you be pushing back to? Well certainly not being ready for something that is URGENT like a PRE-TRIB RAPTURE EVENT….. I have yet to meet a Mid-Trib or Post-Trib promoter who embraced URGENCY the way the Pre-Trib viewpoint does.
DOES IT MATTER WHETHER YOU BELIEVE IN PRE-TRIB OR SOMETHING ELSE–YES, YES IT DOES. The whole thrust of understanding the future tense of the Bible is completely altered based on these beliefs. For Mid-Trib and Post-Trib, scripture has to be skewed and twisted to accommodate these views. BUT, If you want the truth, when you study scripture–SURRENDER YOUR LIFE FULLY OVER TO JESUS and ask to be shown this truth–and if you really want truth you will get it.
Another reason URGENCY should be top-of-mind is because GOD doesn’t just want people to be ready for rapture, HE wants people to be LIVING the life as if the LORD were coming today. The enemy is too dangerous to go about this life “laissez faire” (that’s French for goofing off, unfocused, uncommitted, basically walking on thin ice). And guess what–Satan is very interested in people who don’t embrace URGENCY in watching for the LORD.
